Inside Botika’s 2025 Year of Building

December 18, 2025

AI often feels abstract or difficult to understand. At its core, it isn’t.

At Botika, we use AI to help fashion brands create high-quality product images and videos without relying on traditional photoshoots. The goal is practical: reduce complexity, lower production costs, and give teams more flexibility in how they work.

2025 was an important year for us. Below is a clear look at what we built, why it matters, and how it’s being used.

Our Series A fundings

In 2025, we announced a $10M Series A round led by Infinity Ventures to support our next phase of growth.

This milestone wasn’t about chasing growth for its own sake. It was about reinforcing what we were already seeing: fashion brands were relying on Botika as part of their core production process.

The funding allows us to:

  • Invest further in product quality and infrastructure
  • Expand our AI and engineering teams
  • Build features that support real-world fashion workflows, not experiments

Most importantly, it gives us the ability to build thoughtfully and long-term, with fashion brands at the center of every decision.

Flat-lay is fully launched

Many fashion brands already rely on flat-lay photography. It’s fast, familiar, and easy to produce.

This year, our flat-lay capability moved out of beta and into full production. Brands can now upload flat-lay images and convert them into consistent, on-model visuals suitable for ecommerce, marketing and editorial use. This removes the need for additional shoots and allows teams to get more value from existing assets.

Support for custom footwear

Footwear introduces unique challenges. Shapes, materials, and proportions need to be handled carefully to maintain accuracy.

In 2025, we added support for custom footwear. This allows brands to present shoes with the same level of quality and consistency as apparel, without introducing a separate production workflow. For footwear brands, this simplifies visual creation significantly.

Video generation

Static images are no longer enough on their own. Motion helps customers better understand fit, texture, and movement. This year, we introduced video generation. Brands can now create fashion videos without filming, sets, or crews. The process is simple. The output is clean, controlled, and ready to use across digital channels.

Strengthening the foundation

Much of our progress this year happened behind the scenes.

We rebuilt our models infrastructure to improve consistency, performance and reliability. Images generate faster. Quality remains stable at scale. Workflows are easier to depend on as teams grow. This foundation is critical for brands using Botika as part of their everyday operations.

Team growth and new offices

As usage increased, so did our team. In 2025, we doubled the size of Botika and moved into new offices to support continued growth. We’re expanding across engineering, product, and customer-focused roles. We’re actively hiring and always interested in people who want to build practical tools for the fashion industry.

A milestone we’re proud of

This year, Botika surpassed 3,000 active paying customers. That number reflects real usage, not experimentation. It shows that AI has become a dependable part of modern fashion workflows, not a future concept. Our responsibility is to keep that trust.

Looking ahead

The role of AI in fashion is becoming clearer. It is no longer about experimentation or novelty. It is about building reliable systems that support real production needs, work at scale, and respect the creative standards of fashion brands.

Our focus going forward is to deepen that reliability. We will continue investing in image and video quality, consistency across collections, and workflows that integrate smoothly into how teams already operate. We are building for everyday use, not one-off moments.

At the same time, we are expanding the foundation beneath the product. Strong infrastructure, thoughtful model development, and a growing team allow us to move faster without compromising control or quality.

The progress we made in 2025 reflects that direction. What comes next will build on it deliberately.
